Alice Buss, 94, of Allison, Iowa, passed away July 2, 2011, at the Franklin General Hospital, in Hampton, Iowa. She was born August 13, 1916, in rural Allison, Iowa, to Emmo and Gesiena (Mein) Janssen. Alice attended country schools. She was married on January 27, 1945, in Parkersburg, Iowa to John Buss. Alice was a member of the Allison United Church of Christ in Allison, Iowa. She worked in a variety store, café, grocery store and the Allison Care Center. Alice enjoyed gardening, baking and flowers. She also enjoyed visiting with friends and family. Alice is survived by her daughters; Helen and husband Ronald Fleshner of Dumont, Joan and husband Tom Homer of Dumont, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and five step great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers; George, Bert, Hilko, Emmo, Pete and Joe, four sisters; Lena, Hilda, Sena and Ann and one step grandson. Burial will take place at the Allison Cemetery in Allison, Iowa
