    Ann Charlotte Reed

    February 1, 1928 - November 1, 2011

    Ann Charlotte Reed, 83, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away November 1, 2011, at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. She was born February 1, 1928, in rural Butler County, Iowa, to Fred and Cena (Werkman) Kruse. Ann attended rural Butler County country school. She married Nolan Reed on July 31, 1955 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Vilmar. She worked at the Dumont Grocery & Locker in Dumont, then worked for the Dumont Community Schools as a cook. After retirement she volunteered at the Dumont Community Schools. Ann was a member of the New Hope Parish of the United Methodist Church in Dumont, and Dumont American Legion Auxiliary. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing bingo and enjoyed her time with her Dumont Friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and handiwork, cake baking and collecting angels. Ann is survived by her daughter Noreen & husband Warren Wiegmann of Bristow, son Steven and wife Deb Bagenstos of La Porte City, granddaughter Traci & husband Bret Chinander of Davenport, grandson Cole & wife Jennifer Wiegmann of Waterloo, great grandchildren Teagan Joelle Chinander & Hadley Ann Wiegmann, brother Eldo & wife Rena Kruse of Allison, brother Harold & wife Marlys Kruse of Allison, brother Herman & wife Sharon Kruse of Allison, sister Ida Mae & husband Richard Litterer of Clarksville, sister-in-law Donna Kruse of Bristow and sister-in-law Jean Reed of Dumont. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband , brothers Emil, William & Elmer Kruse, nephews Steven Litterer & John Kruse and Travis Landers. Burial will be in the Dumont Cemetery.
