    Arthur William Brammer

    February 22, 1923 - January 11, 2013

    Arthur "Art" Brammer, 89, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away, Friday, January 11, 2013, at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa. He was born on February 22, 1923, in Hampton, Iowa; his parents were William and Helen (Mueller) Brammer. He attended rural Franklin County Country Schools. Art served his country during World War II, where he was a military police officer and a prison guard. He was united in marriage to Adell Kibsgaard on August 11, 1946, in Hampton, Iowa. Art worked at Maytag for thirty years and he was also a farmer and raised Minks and Chickens. He was a member of the Hampton American Legion and Hampton United Methodist Church in Hampton, Iowa. Art enjoyed woodworking, playing the accordion and wintering in Texas at the RV Campers Club with his wife Adell. He is survived by his son Dennis Brammer of Hampton, son Daniel (Linda) Brammer of Hampton, daughter Sandra (Ronald) Whipple of Hampton, daughter Suzan (Dave) Helmke of Hampton, grandchildren Jordan Helmke, Josh Helmke, Patty (Craig) Mahncke, Kathy (Ron) Paulsen, Matt Whipple, Robert Whipple, Jon Whipple, Mindy (Paul) Fahrmann, Gina (Joel) Passer, Chris (Saze) Brammer, Danielle (Cory) Spann, Kelly Muller and Jeff Muller, great-grandchildren Mitchell, Grace, Kyle, Carson, Lauren, Lila, Zach, Emma, Josh, Chelsea, Cole, Kylee, Faith and Payler and great great-granddaughter Emma. Art was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Burial will take place at the Hampton Cemetery.
