Arthur Dean Crawford, 80, of Allison, Iowa, formerly of Ackley, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison, in Allison, Iowa. He was born October 14, 1931, in Butler County, Iowa, to Arthur and Emma (Hovenga) Crawford. Arthur attended rural Butler County School. He was united in marriage to Grace Claassen on October 24, 1990, in Nashua, Iowa. He worked as a farmer. Arthur was a member of the Dumont Reformed Church in Dumont, Iowa. He enjoyed music and playing his guitar. He is survived by his wife Grace Crawford of Allison, daughter Jeanne Hugh of Gilmore City, sister Irene Winkowitsch of Allison and brother Virgil Crawford of Allison. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Emma Crawford. Burial will take place at the Allison Cemetery in Allison, Iowa.
