Brenda Kay Oleson

June 19, 1958 - January 26, 2022

Brenda Kay Oleson, 63, of Latimer, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29 at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will take place at the Marion Center Cemetery, rural Latimer. Brenda was born on June 19, 1958, in Belmond, Iowa to parents Marvin and Carolyn (Plagge) Oleson. She lived at home with her parents all her life. She loved her pets. She enjoyed taking care of her horses, sheep, cats, dogs, chickens and ducks. She showed her chickens at the fair, and sold their eggs as well. Brenda also loved flowers, asking her mom to pick some up for her whenever she went into town. She liked helping out around the farm however she could. Brenda was a member of the 4-H Club for a few years. Brenda is survived by her parents, brother, Kevin (Ann) Oleson, sister, Teresa Penning, aunts and uncles, Dennis (Linda) Oleson and Dennis Fahrmann, cousins, Jeff (Molly) Fahrmann and Amy Fahrmann, her nieces and nephews, Blake Oleson, Hannah Oleson, Trevor Penning, Jared Penning, and Stephanie Penning, and her dog Oreo, who will miss her very much. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Alma (Steenhard) Plagge, and Russell and Viola (Meyer) Oleson, aunt, Deanna Fahrmann, uncle, Ivan Oleson, cousin, Scott Oleson, and brother-in-law, David Spangenberg.
