Deanna Kay Latham

Deanna Kay Bahr-Latham, 34, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away May 17, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born April 6, 1976, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Glen and Laurie (Bielmaier) Bahr. Deanna graduated from the Iowa Falls High School, and attended Ellsworth Community College and Buena Vista College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She worked as a At-Risk teacher for grades K-8 at Hampton Dumont Schools in Hampton, Iowa. Deanna was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hampton. Growing up she enjoyed playing sports, especially softball where she excelled as a pitcher. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, fishing and reading. Deanna loved spending time with her children and her nieces and nephews, playing games and watching their activities. Deanna is survived by her children Cody Duncan, Zackary Duncan and Abigail Latham of Hampton, mother Laurie (Steven) Henry of Iowa Falls, father Glen (Kay) Bahr of Iowa Falls, maternal grandparents James & Marianne Bielmaier of Tula Rosa, New Mexico, paternal step grandmother Joyce Frisbie of Cresco, sister Darla (Marty) Davis of Carroll, sister Danita (Alex) Janssen of Iowa Falls, step sister Jill Schafer of Iowa Falls, step sister Christine (Steve) Fraher of Urbandale, step sister Sheli (Tyler) Duit of Iowa Falls, step sister Jamie (Jesse) Peterson of Iowa Falls, step sister Susan (Dennis) Milsom of Yulee, Florida, step sister Joanne Wilson of Mason City, step brother Chad Henry of Urbandale and step sister Crystal Henry of Iowa Falls. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, step grand parents and her infant daughter Ashley. Memorial may be made to the Deanna Kay Bahr-Latham Memorial Fund at the Green Belt Bank in Iowa Falls, Iowa
