    Dennis Duane Lindeman

    October 11, 1939 - November 22, 2015

    Dennis Duane Lindeman, 76, of Allison, Iowa, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 11, 1939, in Dike, Iowa, to Dick and Annie (Tjebkes) Lindeman. Dennis graduated from Allison High School, class of 1958. He was united in marriage to Eileen Hahn on April 1, 1960, at First Congregational Church in Parkersburg. Dennis served his country in the United States National Guard from 1958 to 1963. He worked for Thermogas in Allison and then owned and operated Allison Propane Gas, which he started in the fall of 1972. Dennis was a hard worker and highly dedicated to his business. He was an active member of First Congregational Church in Parkersburg. Dennis enjoyed working with horses, going on fishing trips to Minnesota, working at Camp K, and loved living out in the country. He thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Highway 3 Raceway in Allison. Dennis is survived by his wife Eileen of Allison, son Brad (Sally) Lindeman of Belmond, son Jeffrey Lindeman of Aplington, daughter Denise (Mark) Feckers of New Hartford, grandchildren Ryan (Lucy) Lindeman, Kelsey (Zach) O'Connor, Adam Lindeman, John Lindeman and Matthew Lindeman, great-grandchildren Madison, Kennedi, Sophia, Finley, and one on the way, sisters Doreen Thorne of Parkersburg and Arlyce (Frank) Shirar of Allison, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mari and brother Harold.
