    Jim Dean Winkowitsch

    September 8, 1935 - July 23, 2014

    Jim Dean Winkowitsch, 78, of Bristow, Iowa, passed away, Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at his home in Bristow, Iowa. He was born September 8, 1935, in White, South Dakota, to Theodore and Ethel (Franken) Winkowitsch. Jim attended rural Butler County Country School. He served his country in the United States Army. Jim was united in marriage to Sylvia Farnham on March 3, 1962, in Hampton, Iowa, she passed away in 2011 he then remarried Bonnie Phares on January 18, 2014, in Mason City, Iowa. He was a member of the Bristow American Legion and the First Reformed Church in Bristow, Iowa. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and keeping busy. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog Skippy. Jim is survived by his wife Bonnie of Bristow, son Tim (Deanne) Winkowitsch of Hampton, son Brian (Patti) Winkowitsch of Bristow, daughter Tammy (Gary) Brocka of Dumont, grandchildren Cassie Hutzel, Nathan Hutzel, Tiffany Winkowitsch, Jesse Winkowitsch, Marty Winkowitsch, Stephanie Brocka, great grandchildren Titan Pearson, Thomas Winkowitsch and Devin Winkowitsch, sister Mamie Rottink of Allison, Beverly (Robert) Boyd of Florida, Clifford (Lila) Winkowitsch of Dumont, sister Janet (Don) Bangs of Bristow. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, and two sisters.
