Lila F. Harms, 81, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away July 11, 2011, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton in Hampton, Iowa. She was born March 21, 1930, in Dumont, Iowa, to Lawrence and Marie (Ritzman) Wendt. Lila graduated from the Dumont High School. She was united in marriage to Arthur L. Harms on June 14, 1953, in Dumont, Iowa. Lila was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer. She was a homemaker and enjoyed big band music, sewing and cooking. Lila is survived by her sister Mary Ann Eisentrager of Allison, sister-in-law Jan Wendt of Hampton, sister-in-law Ruth Wendt of Aplington, sister-in-law Joyce Wendt of Missouri and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Marie, husband Arthur, son Jerry, brothers Harold, Ron and Kenneth Wendt and sister Marge Cutler. Burial will take place in the Alexander Cemetery.
