Lois M. Eberline

February 18, 1924 - January 29, 2011

Lois M. Eberline, 86, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away January 29, 2011, at the Dumont Wellness Center in Dumont, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Henry and Viola Miller on February 18, 1924, in Butler County, Iowa. Lois graduated from the Dumont Consolidated Schools in 1941. She was united in marriage to Merville Eberline on March 30, 1943, and together they spent their entire married life east of Bristow, enjoying fifty-four years. Lois was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Allison. She and her husband were always faithful to the church and she had spent many years teaching Catechism and Sunday School classes. Lois loved her home, family and friends. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and writing poetry. Lois wrote a book entitled "Life With Doc." She worked for the Dumont Telephone Company before her marriage and worked for the Dumont Wellness Center for seventeen years, retiring in November of 1995. Lois is survived by her son Arlin and wife Greta Eberline of Bristow, son Alan and wife Kathy Eberline of Aredale, son Rolin and wife Julie Eberline of Bristow, daughter Merra Loy and husband Gary Krukow of Bristow, grandchildren Angela and husband Bill Konig of Nora Springs, David and wife Lisa Eberline of Bristow, Emily and husband Rod Schut of Waverly, Jason Eberline of Bristow, Matthew Eberline of Bristow, Renae and husband Josh Johnson of Allison, Paul and wife Kathrine Krukow of Cedar Falls, Jordan Eberline of Bristow, great grandchildren Travis and Jenna Konig, Morgan and Addyson Schut, Emma and Dillon Eberline, Kiya and Lincoln Johnson and three new babies due this year, sister Beulah Hearn, sister-in-law Lucille Miller and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on January 4, 1998, and her twin brothers Donald and Dale. Burial will take place in the Oak Hill Cemetery in rural Bristow.
