Mary Minnier

January 2, 1953 - October 22, 2017

Mary Minnier, 64, of Aredale, Iowa, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017, at the Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton. She was born on January 2, 1953, in Hampton, to Theodore and Elsie (Peterson) Crabtree. Mary graduated from Sheffield High School and attended Hawkeye Tech. She was united in marriage to Richard Minnier on July 24, 1993, in Sheffield, Iowa. Mary worked at the Sheffield Care Center for twenty-eight years. She was a member of the New Hope Parish of the United Methodist Church - Aredale Center. Mary enjoyed reading and camping. Family was very important to her, especially her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to family reunions. Mary is survived by her husband Richard Minnier of Aredale, daughter Alexis and husband Shawn Dietz of Hampton, son Jamie Minnier of Dumont, son Jeremy Minnier of Dumont, grandchildren Hunter, Emma, Hayden and Isabella, siblings Steve Crabtree of Illinois, Larry and wife Elaine Crabtree of Iowa, Debbie and husband Kenneth Buenneke of Iowa, Peggy Jonas of Georgia, Dave Crabtree of Illinois, John and wife Nicole Crabtree of Nebraska, and Laura and husband Rob Lockhart of Georgia, brother-in-law Sterling Stoppelmoor of Iowa, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Elsie and sister Diane Stoppelmoor.
