Michael "Mitch" Thompson, 55, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away May 31, 2011, at his home in rural Hampton, Iowa. He was born March 3, 1956, in Hampton, Iowa, to LaVern and Arlene L. (Krukow) Thompson. Mitch graduated from the Iowa Falls High School. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mitch was self employed as a carpenter. Mitch is survived by his daughter Jennifer Thompson of Cedar Falls, daughter Meagan Menken of Waterloo, daughter Michelle Thompson of Waterloo, daughter Katie Thompson of Waterloo, sister Debbie (Burdette) Janssen of Dumont, brother Ronnie (Deb) Thompson of Alden, brother David Thompson of Iowa Falls, sister Mary (Mike) Polzin of Iowa Falls granddaughter Emma Boque. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Randy Lee.
