Norma Kienol, 91, of Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Scenic Manor. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. She will be laid to rest at the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is caring for Norma and her family. Norma Jean Kienol was born on March 30, 1931 to Albert and Elizabeth (Hartema) Zacharias in Ackley, Iowa. She graduated from Ackley High School. On April 23, 1951 Norma was united in marriage to Carl Emil Kienol in Ackley, Iowa. Norma enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles, trips to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and fishing trips to Minnesota. Norma Kienol is survived by her children, Carroll Kienol of Waterloo, Iowa, Cheryl A. (Kienol) Bates of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Michael Kienol of Fort Dodge, Iowa; grandchildren: Daryn Bates, Stephanie Brown, Erica Kienol, Aaron Kienol, Zachary Kienol, Austin Kienol and Anna Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Kienol; two brothers and one sister.
