Richard William Holze

Richard William Holze, 78, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away May 2, 2013, at the Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield, Iowa. He was born on January 4, 1935, in Alexander, Iowa, to Victor and Doris (Honeck) Holze. Richard graduated from Hampton Community High School. He was united in marriage to Margaret "Peggy" Ann Fielding on February 1, 1958, in Hampton, Iowa. Richard worked for Iowa Concrete, Seabee Corporation and Davies Manufacturing. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Hampton. Richard enjoyed canoeing, camping and traveling with his wife Peggy and also enjoyed woodworking. One of his passions in life was photography. His family was very important to him, especially his grandchildren. Richard is survived by his son Richard Scott Holze and wife Connie of Sheffield, Iowa, daughters Lisa Lynn Smedra and husband Chuck of Longmont, Colorado, Laurie Ann Albers and husband Randy of Goodell and Linda Jo Stewart and husband Cory of Waukee, grandchildren Sara Dickenson and husband CJ, Emily Smedra and fiancé Bryant West, Storm Holze and fiancé Sara O'Donnell, Danny Stewart and Maggie Stewart, great-grandson Brantley Holze and honorary great-grandson Cameron Buseman. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Doris, wife Margaret "Peggy" and sister Ramona "Susan." A private family burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery.
