Stephanie J. Velasquez

Stephanie J. Velasquez, 47, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015, at her home in Hampton, Iowa. She was born June 10, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, to Anibal and Blanca (Zapata) Pabon. Stephanie attended High School in Chicago and then North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Michael Velasquez on December 1, 1990, in Chicago, Illinois. She worked at Hampton Care Center as a CNA and then Sukup Manufacturing Company in Sheffield. Stephanie was a diehard Cubs fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughter Melanie Mae. She is survived by her husband Michael Velasquez of Hampton, son Michael Anthony Velasquez of Hampton, son Nicholas Onesio Velasquez of Sheffield, daughter Karina Maylene (Tyler Brody) Uhlenhopp of Hampton, sister Cindy Pabon of Chicago, Illinois, brother Steven Pabon of Hampton, brother Tony Pabon of Hampton. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Anibal Pabon Jr. In Lieu of flowers memorial may be directed toward the family.
