Yvonne Smith, 74, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away February 14, 2011, at her home in Hampton, Iowa. She was born October 29, 1936, in Dumont, Iowa, to Heinie and Jennie (Krull) Siems. Yvonne graduated from the Dumont High School in 1954. She married Vernon Smith on September 12, 1964, at the Dumont Reformed church in Dumont, Iowa. Yvonne was a waitress in various local restaurants. She enjoyed reading, "making memories", with family and friends and quietly helping others. She is survived by her sister Twila (Jim) Kerr of Hampton, sister-in-law Edith (Richard) Frank of Algona, brother-in-law David (Janette) Smith of Texas, niece Peggy Allison of Hampton, niece Kim Brocka of Alden, nephew Mike Kerr of Mason City, nephew Matt Kerr of Allison, plus many other nieces and nephews and a host of great & great great nieces and nephews. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, husband and infant son Mark. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.
